Ingredients for Peppermint Cookie Recipe
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Directions for Peppermint Cookie Recipe
- Use a large bowl to mix together the shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla
- Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well
- Lastely add in the crushed peppermint candies
- Refrigerate the peppermint mixture for 3-4 hours
- Turn oven on to 375
- Cut into 1/8 slices and place on cookie sheet
- Bake for 7-8 minutes
